Harvesting Rosellas

Talk about Slow Jamming - I've been waiting for months for these to be ready - watching the Rosella flowers (Hibiscus Sabdariffa - not the birds) turn into these oddities:

We harvested a good half bucket of Rosellas from 5 bushes and planned to make very pink  jam and cordial. It took an afternoon to separate the seeds from the calyxes.

Rosellas are very high in Vitamin C and they can also be used to make "Hibiscus Tea," which is apparently anti-hypertensive and mildly diuretic. Anyway it tastes good and I highly recommended this 100% homemade beverage.
