Harvesting Grapefruit

What to do with all these grapefruits? Some turned into perfect winter presents and some were turned into tea.

Grapefruit Butter: Place 1 cup grapefruit juice, 125g butter, 1 cup sugar, in a saucepan. When these ingredients have dissolved, add 4 eggs, whisk until mixture thickens. This may take some time. Spoon gooey treat into jars for consumption on toast or turn into little tarts (above).

GG Tea (Grapefruit and Ginger Tea): Squeeze half a grapefruit into a tea cup, add a few slices of fresh ginger, some boiling water and a twist of peel. This makes a super antioxidant beverage to keep any winter bugs at bay.

Grapefruit Brulee: Boil grapefruit, so that the juice slightly caramelizes. Cut in half, sprinkle with cinnamon and brown sugar. Perfect winter morning pick me up with a dollop of yogurt.
